These days it’s hard to come across blunt, to-the-point information.
It seems a lot of stuff gets filtered to ensure no one’s feelings get hurt.
This week, I am taking a concept that’s referred to as “Choose Your Hard” but I am making it health-oriented.
Here it goes:
Eating clean is hard. Yoyo dieting is hard.
Choose Your Hard.
Working out is hard. Being weak is hard.
Choose your hard.
Being fit is hard. Being unhealthy is hard.
Choose your hard.
Losing weight is hard. Being overweight is hard.
Choose your hard.
Discipline is hard. Regret is hard.
Choose your hard.
Life will never be easy. It will always be hard. But we get to choose our hard. Choose wisely.
You may have heard some version of this before.
Similarly another quote resonates with me:
“There are two certainties regarding suffering in life. You may suffer the pain of discipline, or you may suffer the pain of regret.”
Regardless of whether this is new to you or not, it is extremely powerful.
I can see people thinking this is negative.
I find it to be the opposite. I find it to be empowering.
You see, the hardest things in life are the most worthwhile. Think about that. “Worthwhile.”
Meaning while you were doing it, it was worth it.
If you recall anything you accomplished in life, you’ll realize it took a while to get it done and it wasn’t easy.
If it were easy it wouldn’t be impressive.
But you got it done. And that’s impressive.
And That Makes You Impressive!
